Minecraft Starts 1.19 Snapshots, Adding Frogs And 3D Audio

We have an experimental snapshot available for Minecraft’s next major upgrade, but the regular 1.19 snapshot series is now available with snapshot 22w11a. Mojang’s Minecraft developers are currently focused on the Wild update. We’ll be releasing weekly beta versions of Minecraft: Java Edition, where you can enjoy those new features as soon as possible.

The new version lets you play with the Deep Dark biome, frogs and tadpoles, mangroves, mud blocks, and the Sculk systems. You can also explore 3D audio that is directional in the sound settings, a feature that “is best enjoyed using headphones”.

Sculk and Deep Dark were already implemented in the 1.19 snapshot in February. But, frogs are starting to shine. Frogs can “jump”, “swim”, “walk on land”, “croak”, and “eat tiny magma cubes causing a froglight block to drop”. This is all normal frog behavior. serverlist101 can read the complete patch notes on the official website.
